​Awesome Nokia flagship, Nokia P1 Android smartphone with stunning design and specifications to be unveiled at MWC 2017

2017 seems to be the year when the king made his return. No, I am not talking about the King of the North in Game of Thrones but the yesteryears mobile and feature phone king, Nokia. 2017 is seeing the comeback of Nokia to the smartphone market with the launch of Nokia 6, an Android smartphone with a mid-range price. If reports are to be believed, Nokia is expected to unveil more smartphones in the coming days that is likely to be unveiled at MWC 2017 this month. Of all the devices, the expected one which is rumoured is high-end Nokia P1.
Based on the leaked information online, a concept render of the Nokia P1 is seen sporting an all-metal design with minimum side bezels. The Nokia logo is placed above the display and also alongside the selfie camera lens. The render also showcased the camera which appears to be a triple LED flash. The bottom of the smartphone seems to house a rectangular home button that should double as a fingerprint scanner along with capacitive menu buttons. On the right side of the P1, there is a power button and the volume rocker. There also seems to be a physical camera shutter button.

The concept render of P1 also shows it sporting a USB Type-C port, with the 3.5mm audio jack sitting on the left and two small speakers on the right. The bottom part of the left side of the smartphone is also seen featuring a hybrid SIM slot and microSD card.
Based on reports, on the specification front, the Nokia P1 is expected to feature a 5.3 inch display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone may come up with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of in-built storage. There are also rumors of 128GB storage option as well. It is also alleged that the Nokia P1 could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC. The Nokia P1 is also shown in three colors, black, white and silver.

Nokia has been given a new lease in life, thanks to HMD Global. The company is now the rightful owner of the former top phone maker and it’s set to make new records in the mobile industry. It’s something Microsoft failed to do with the Nokia Windows Phone. Hopefully, the Nokia Android-powered devices will make it big since it’s what the Android community has been waiting for since news of Nokia being sold off was heard. Now we’ve got more good news about the brand. Four new Nokia phones will be released by HMD in 2017 beginning in the second quarter. The first one will be announced and shown off at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in February. The Finnish company has been busy on design and production. It is also believed to have begun talks with suppliers like LG Display, Innolux, and Century Technology (CTC) to make four more phones that will be introduced the rest of the year.

The Nokia phones are also said to have displays starting from 5.0 to 5.7-inches with either Full HD or WQHD resolution. We’re assuming the Nokia D1C will be announced in Barcelona at the MWC 2017 probably in two variants: the more expensive 5.5-inch 3GB RAM Full HD display and the affordable 5-inch 2GB RAM Full HD model.

Image renders of Nokia C1 and a low-resolution picture of Nokia P have surfaced among the Chinese press, along with specs and major feature highlights expected to be on the Nokia Android smartphones.

The Nokia C1 is expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and will have a camera setup that is the stuff of every Nokia fan’s wet dream.

The Nokia C1 Android smartphone will have a dual 16MP (rear) and 12MP (front) camera setup with triple LED flash, red laser autofocus and Xenon flash. This will no doubt ensure the Nokia C1 clicks awesome photos, always!
The Nokia C1 will also sport 3,210mAh battery and up to 128GB of internal storage, and will in all likelihood run on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Similarly, the Nokia P Android smartphone is also expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, according to rumoured reports, but have a whopping 6GB of RAM, and a gargantuan 23MP camera sensor with ZEISS lens.

Both Nokia C1 and Nokia P Android smartphones are expected to be unveiled at February’s Mobile World Congress 2017 event, scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain.
At the same event, Nokia’s D1C Budget Android smartphone is also expected to be showcased. Good to see Nokia return with a bang next year, eh? The smartphone world needs it!

For all those who are eagerly waiting for Nokia’s Android smartphone foray, we have good news for you. The Nokia Android smartphones could arrive as early as November 2016, if the reports are to be believed. We had earlier reported about the new Nokia smartphone being benchmarked on GeekBench that suggested that an Android-powered device dubbed the Nokia D1C is in the works.

Now we can confirm that Nokia D1Crunning on Android 7.0 Nougat is indeed being tested and will probably be available to buyers as early as next month.

Nokia has been looking to make a comeback is well known as reported here about how Nokia is planning a comeback to the market with not one but two Android smartphones. Ever since we had reported on the leaked press renders of the new Nokia smartphones, we have been inundated by messages, both here and our social media for further news about Nokia’s forthcoming Android smartphones.

Now one of the upcoming devices seems to have been leaked, thanks to a benchmarking app, AnTuTu. Its model name is D1C, though you shouldn’t get too excited. Going by the phone’s specs this is no premium device, despite Nokia being rumored to launch two high-end handsets.

As reported earlier, the Nokia D1C seems to be a mid-range Android smartphonethat will be released with Nokia’s flagship smartphone.

Nokia D1C specs:

The benchmark suggests the phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz running on Adreno 505 GPU. It will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage with a microSD expansion slot. What catches the eye is awesomecamera specs on Nokia D1C. It will boast a superb 13-megapixel rear cameracoupled with an 8MP shooter on the frontfor selfies.  The Nokia D1C display is disappointing as it will come with 1920 x 1080 pixels.

All in all, this looks to be a mid-range device, running Android 7.0, with a 5.2-inch screen, going by previous hints.

With Android smartphone market in a bit of churn, Nokia seems to be timing its comeback to perfection. Samsung has been having issues with its Galaxy Note 7 while HTC and LG are nowhere to be seen and this seems to be the right time for Nokia to push the launch button.
